Nobody but you

Submitted By: Aleena M Jakati

They say love must be measured, tried, and true, Yet mine was born without a cause or name. No fleeting charm, nor words that lovers woo, But silent fire, an everlasting flame. I ask no kingdoms, riches, nor the skies, Just one brief moment where your soul meets mine. A single heartbeat, seen within your eyes, Would turn the dust of earth to something divine. Though shadows follow, and though daylight fades, Your presence lingers softly in the air. Through storm and silence, light and fleeting shades, My spirit finds its home when you are there. And if the years divide what hearts once knew, Still all I seek is none—nobody but you.
