The Taxed Adulthood

----------------------------------

The route of life, like Murakami’s world, - strange in design, collecting GST on every traveled plotline. Hometown friends- vanish, like cigarette soot in the station’s air, Careers chew up hours, digging claws -yet offer morsels to spare. Ambition grins- a slick peddler, with greedy hollow eyes, Salary is a trickster, dwindling as always, with skyrocketing prices. Politics? It’s a plex dear, drunk comedians flying with their fame, their promises? are rehearsed, yet propaganda stays the same. AI sits smug- a fallen angel, lounging in chrome, dressed up in steel, Whispering, “I’ll code your deals, oh my dear, but I’ll also steal.’ Social life’s a stage; filters crown every clown. A stingy landlady with a clingy cat, demanding rent in sweat, Dreams pawned off cheaply, poof! 25 years gone, leaving in debt. Life smirks- a cruel jester, fooling and joking behind the door, as we keep chasing purpose- taxed, tired, and unsure.
