Caterpillars Green, brown, black or grey We come in glowing array. Flightless we begin But soon we take wings. Fluttering from flower to flower Growing radiant each hour . Chased by little laughter Every noon hereafter. Short span of life we say But we bring delight anyway. For every eye that see They find joy for free . Let mankind be a butterfly Spreading colour in the world That sigh.
